Mr. Mark

Remember Mr. Mark from yesterday?
I'm coaching girls softball after school.
Well just GUESS who the baseball coach is?!?!

Seriously, is my life doomed to be a comedy of errors?

When I walked up he was like, "Well, the boys and girls can just practice TOGETHER since there are only 9 girls."

I bet we can.

Then while the kids were running around and stuff he turned to me and was like, "I didn't KNOW you liked SPORTS!?" like all excited and eager...does he have my email password?

Work Woes

Every Wednesday we have staff meetings at the private school where I work.

I had an awkward moment when I arrived at the meeting, because the only male teacher in primary, Mr. Mark...I'm afraid he has a crush on me. My first clue was when he ran into a pole while talking to me. I'm not kidding, it was like a movie. And his whole class saw it. So I walk into the meeting a few minutes late with 4 other teachers. The meeting is in Eric's room, he teaches grade 3. There are no chairs left. Keep in mind 4 of us walked in together.
And Mark goes, "Hey do YOU need a chair?" and grabs one and lifts it over the entire table to put it where I can sit.
Next to him of course. I find it embarrassing, I should mention his wife teaches grade 2 and was also in the room.
Not siting near him.

I can't help it if I am the youngest teacher and I have a tight bod.

Life and Work

I just took a bite from my choco stash and it was all melty and unpleasant looking. I entertained the idea of taking an picture for you, but you might not have found it entertaining.
One bite was enough, Then I switched to my gum stash. My special stash drawer is strategically disorganized. If any one opens it, they will have to reach past my combs and tampons (and even a nice, big unwrapped pad draped across the whole shebang) in order to steal any chocolate or gum. Or Cavendish and Harvey fruit drops (Made in Heaven. or Germany).
My desk is crazy giant. Srsly. It is probably 4 feet tall. I have my computer on the little pull out keyboard tray, else it would be even with my chin while sitting.

I also slammed back 2 kiddie cups of passion fruit juice. Maybe good for the passion level.
I just wanted to invite you to the party in my mouth.

Day of Resting!

Phew, let me tell you, Sundays wear me out!

This morning I got Emma-MacDougal all dressed for church with her cutie pie little WillBeth white Smocked Overlay Dress and her little monogrammed satin shoes ("EM"). She looked adorable and nobody could tell that I got that dress at the outlet...it was a total steal, only $68! I know! This is infant size, usually way more expensive!

So anyways she got ready and then Brisbane wore his little Eton suit even though he complained the whole time he looked fabs.

This morning we had to hurry because it was my Sunday to volunteer in the nursery so I was with the 9 month olds, fun! I took a baby and just held it the whole time and rocked it and rocked it and made it fall asleep. I kind of stuck to the one baby because I had the good one; I did NOT want to change some other kid's poopy diaper, AS IF!

Then after early morning nursery we went to the contemporary service and my hubby is a deacon so he collected the offering (good job, babe!) and then after that we had to hurry over to the traditional worship service and THEN we had to beat it out of there to get a good table at Crepe Myrtle Cafe before the other churches let out!

Phew we made it! I just love their brunch!

Then after that we had to go home and do a quick nap, clip coupons and hustle on back to the evening service. I'm sorry but Chick-fil-a really needs to be open on Sundays because I do NOT want to cook on the Lord's Day!

Plus I love their sweet tea!!!!!!

Wedding Season is Near!

As you know in Birmingham wedding season is coming up soon.
This year my niece is getting married in May to a guy she met at Samford and I am so busy planning teas and wedding showers for her.
We will have a his and hers shower, a bridal tea, a lingerie shower, and a fill-the-pantry shower.

I'm a co-hostess for the tea (there are 8 of us hostessing) and I'm getting a little stressed because she hasn't given me the rest of her guest list yet and we need to get those invites out! Hello!

I gave her advice to register at Macy's, Williams-Sonoma, Bed Bath and Beyond, and Target. Target is for the poor people on the list. But they still can bring a decent gift you know?

When I got married I got tons of Gorham crystal. That I didn't register for! Ugh!

It took me a month to figure out where to return everything and then when I took a bunch of stuff back to JC Penny, there must have been a super crystal sale or something because each thing was only worth like $6 JC Penny credit. I bought some wooden hangers with my credit.

Also I got like 4 waffle irons, 3 crockpots, and 5 electric griddles. Ew.
